ASEN is made up of campus environment groups and collectives. Campus groups can affiliate to ASEN to officially show their endorsement of the network.
HOW TO AFFILIATE YOUR COLLECTIVE
Within your group or collective, discuss what ASEN is and read through the charter. If your collective comes to a consensus that they would like to affiliate, fill out an Affiliate Group Membership Form and send it to the finance officer (the postal address is: 41 Princhester st, West End QLD 4101). Include $50 or a fee waiver (if your collective is completely strapped for cash).

Once collectives have affiliated to ASEN they can send two delegates to National Council, ASEN’s interim decision making body. Individuals from the collective can join working groups which coordinate and support campaigns. The participation of all collectives in these two structures strengthens ASEN in its endeavour to be always more participatory, decentralised and effective. Please note that you can still participate in ASEN before you have officially filled out all of the membership forms. ASEN will still support your collective as this support is not conditional upon membership. Instead, membership is a way of formally supporting the network, and indicating that your collective wants to be part of this broader network of students committed to environmental and social justice.

HOW TO BECOME AN INDIVIDUAL MEMBER
You can become an individual member of ASEN by filling out a form and parting with $10. Individual members can put proposals to National Council, vote at AGMs and EGMs, propose or participate in working groups, and receive a Germinate subscription. Again, ASEN will still support you regardless of whether you are an individual member. Individual membership is a way of supporting the network financially and officially.
