So, it’s time for a little run-down of what’s going on in sean right now! Whoo.

It’s o-week time, and I was at uts today and it was crazy. Crazy in a good way, i think. So GO, check the sean calendar for when all the uni o-weeks are to join the madness and fun.

Some people in the network have been pretty interested in the campaign going on in Bulahdelah lately, concerning the RTA’s determination to bulldoze through the beautiful Boolladilla Mountain to make six lanes of road, part of their giant east coast freeway upgrade. The mountain is full of sites sacred to the Worimi people and the campaign is being led by Uncle Worimi Dates with the support of local activist Adele Carrell and Bundjalung elder Uncle Robert Corowa. Yesterday a couple of us seanies went visiting and wandering up the mountain and it is shockingly gorgeous. Construction is due to start March/April. Be a part of the campaign. Plan a blockade. For updates go to the blog. Chat to Malcolm from Bulahdelah (02) 4987 9274 or Jono from Newcastle 0431 289 766.

What else? This here coming weekend (21st and 22nd Feb) people from SEAN are getting our brains together to follow up on the radical plans and chats of Training Camp 09. It will be at the SEAN space in Erskineville, see the calendar for details or ask me (gemromuld@gmail.com).

AND oh boy, pretty soon we’ll be organising ye grande floaty SEAN gig of 20-22nd March!! It shall be in Newcastle somewhere, and on the Saturday we shall be joining the ship-stopping fun of the FLOTILLA . To help organise, or put on a workshop, or just COME (yes do) let me know ta.
That’s all for now. If you want to put anything up here, or have a page here for your collective or group or some photos. We’ll make it happen really easily. It’s YOUR network!
